For creative wedding invitations you can use pictures from your engagement photos or even any other quality photos you already have to make a compact disc for your guests. You can make a collage of pictures with you and special someone to run on the CD with information and details about your wedding day placed throughout the collage, or in between pictures. You will also want to have the information and details about the wedding date printed on the compact disc, or maybe even include a card along with the CD so that this information can be available without having to play the CD.
After your have estimated the number of guests you are going to invite, you will start thinking about the style of the cards. Of course you will be trying to search for cards which will match your idea of winter. Again, the idea of snowflakes can be used for your invitation card. You will be printing some snowflakes on your card. You may also print a snowman on your card. In most cases you will adapt the idea of white color so that you can deliver a feeling of being in the winter when your guests see the card. If you are going to have your wedding on the Christmas night, you may even print a Santa Clause on the invitation card. However, you should be very careful when you are designing the card.
Mylar paper: Mylar is the paper for you if you like metallic and shiny finish to your marriage invitation card. If you have received a gift basket and wondered about the shiny silver paper, you probably were wondering about Mylar! Its chemical name is biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate or BoPET. You can check out this site if you are interested in finding out how mylar is made. Mylar paper is paper coated with BoPET and is used by the US Library of Congress to preserve old books (one paper to the rescue of others). Mylar is the superhero of papers! Here is how mylar paper is used in wedding invitation cards.
Some of the downfalls to this approach as mentioned above could be people not having access to the internet or not being connected on a regular basis to be able to access either the wedding website created especially for your wedding day or they can not connect to the social network such as Facebook or MySpace. Another pitfall could be the older generation either being computer illiterate or being intimidated by the whole notion of the computer.
