Once a year, each of us has a day that is just ours—and our special day calls for a special celebration. Personalized birthday invitations from Shutterfly are the perfect way to let everyone know about your once-a-year birthday bash. From second birthdays and sweet sixteens to 60th birthdays and 80th birthdays, there’s no reason to miss the chance to celebrate. We’ve got all your party planning needs covered for any style of celebration whether you’re looking for kids birthday ideas, 40th birthday party ideas or more.
The ‘who’ of the invite, consists of the names of the people invited to the engagement party. ‘What’, refers to the type of eventparty that they are invited to, (here, engagement). ‘When’ refers to the date and time of the engagement. ‘Where’ is the venue for the event, (which should be held in a place where the number of invited folks can be easily accommodated without clustering). The ‘why’ in the invite could be optional, as it isn’t necessary to add it, but in case you’re planning to add that, then, you can write something like, "because you’re special to us and we’d appreciate your presence".
Choose Your Words Wisely: Learn the rules to wording your invitation. Traditionally, whoever is hosting is listed first on the invitation. Customarily, you should spell everything out, including the time of the ceremony. On classic wedding invitations, there's always a request line after the host's name—something like "so and so request the honor of your presence." The wording can change as the hosting situation does, so make sure to double-check you've added everyone who should be included.
Make a batch of invitations in different colors. Work together with your child to choose different colors of paper and washi tape patterns to create a batch of party invitations. Let your creativity shine as you make beautiful cards in whatever designs you choose. You'll have so much fun, you may wanna create a batch of cards to keep on hand for the next time you need a thank you card or birthday card; it'll save a trip to the store, and money, too!
