Glassine paper: Glassine is a glossy paper that is water and grease resistant. Glassine is great for marriage invitation card envelopes. You might have seen glassine paper in photo albums to keep the photos from sticking to one another and fading away. Glassine paper is made by a process called calendering. Handmade paper: Handmade papers are eco-friendly and made from cotton, hemp and other plant fibers. Their coarse appearance adds a special warmth to marriage invitations and envelopes.As the name suggests, handmade paper products are usually produced in small scale and are more expensive than any other type of paper.
Creative wedding invitations are something that every bride can make a possibility for her wedding. The possibilities are almost endless on what can be done, limited only by your imagination. This is certainly more true for the modern bride than it was for past brides due to the incredible leaps we've had in technology. Computers and their programs are so up to date with what the typical business can do, that the same quality products can be made right at home.
For this nautical wedding invitation, I designed it with neutral tones and a classic gold. This versatile approach gave the bride countless options. She wasn’t tied to a navy wedding and could pick her choice of colors from the color wheel. We were able to incorporate a different nautical symbol—the anchor, knot, and compass—on each piece of stationery to give her wedding invitation suite variety, yet it still tied together in a seamless collection. You don’t have to be a genius to figure out that the marbled paper actually looks like marbles. Anyways, it’s actually possible to create marbled paper at home. All you need is some paint colours and a few other ingredients. There are plenty of DIY sites and tutorials for creating marbled paper at home.
