For this nautical wedding invitation, I designed it with neutral tones and a classic gold. This versatile approach gave the bride countless options. She wasn’t tied to a navy wedding and could pick her choice of colors from the color wheel. We were able to incorporate a different nautical symbol—the anchor, knot, and compass—on each piece of stationery to give her wedding invitation suite variety, yet it still tied together in a seamless collection. You can really get creative with nautical wedding invitations and save the dates. Some sample nautical wedding invitation wording can include:
Beachy Stripes: Want a nautical wedding with a lighter palette? Use aqua or mint with navy to create a beachy vibe, such as with this striped wedding invitation. Paired with a gold envelope, it's a modern interpretation of a classic theme. Preppy Details: Blending nautical with East Coast prep is a popular wedding combo. Use navy and pink stripes everywhere from the lined envelopes to the groomsmen's ties.
The other caution with this method is that many of your older guests like grandparents may not be very computer savvy. For these guests you might consider actually sending out the compact disc in the mail. Besides, many of these guests are a little more traditional and would prefer to get an actual invitation in the mail instead of an email. Most if not all of your younger guests will be fine with this method as it is a normal part of everyday life. But the choice on mail or email is completely up to you. When making your decision, give some thought to how the email may be received by the majority of your guests. It is your wedding day, but traditionally weddings are a more intimate type of affair than an email might portray.
Matte paper: Matte Paper is a common paper finish. It has a crisp white finish and pastel colours look really nice when printed on matte paper. Matte paper is preferred by thieves from all over the world as it doesn’t get fingerprints easily! There are different types of matte paper – photo quality, double-sided, semi-matte, and premium matte. Glossy paper: Matte paper has a very close cousin or should we say twin brother separated at birth? In fact, a glossy paper goes through the same manufacturing process as that of a matte paper but gets more chemical coatings compared to that of a matte paper. Glossy paper is great for printing colourful wedding invitations as colours pop.
